顾名思义，嘻哈 (hip-hop) 就是以 Hip-Hop 曲风为主的现代街舞；嘻哈与70年代出盛行的街舞 Breakdance 有着紧密的互动关系。然而，随着 Hip-Hop 曲风的演变，舞蹈也随着出现各种新的动作和元素。到了这个新世纪，以站立为主的嘻哈舞步，也和着地旋转的 Breakdance 有了显著的差异。
起飛开办的嘻哈舞蹈课程，主要融汇了日本、韩国、台湾和美国的舞风。
