LIM Conny's Biography
Conny started to learn Chinese Cultural Dance from the age of 6. Her enthusiasm and talent in dancing continues to grow and develop further into her teenage years.
In her earlier twenties, she was trained as a Fitness Instructor ,and being certified under Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, she has later created her name in the Aerobics Dance industry. Eventually, Conny also found her interest in Latin dance, Indian dance, Ballet, Hip Hop, as well as Yoga.
Setting up her own dancing studio, was another promising career path for Conny. She started her own Fitness Dance Studio, The Zero, in March, 2004, and became the 1st lady-owner of a Gym cum Dance Studio in the Northern Malaysia.
Since the first quarter of year 2005, Conny has been putting in a lot of time and effort in drilling into the Middle Eastern Cultural Dance ~ Belly Dancing. Through her knowledge and experience, coupled with the flair of picking-up new genre of cultural dance, she acquired a few Certificates of Attendance from International Gurus by being trained in the respective professional workshops that were held in Singapore, Egypt, Turkey and Australia.
Back on her home ground, Conny has been actively promoting traditional Belly Dancing by conducting group classes and personal lessons at her Studio, as well as performing at public and private functions. Conny is famous with her lively teaching technique, creative choreography and awesome performance, she has performed in Malaysia, Singapore, Egypt and China. She travels around to improve her dance skills and sharing her dance experience through giving workshops. She has been to China for Cultural dance, Spain for Flamenco, France for Samba and African Dance training. Conny is the organiser of Malaysia World Belly Dance Day Charity Event since 2008, With her strong spirit to unite dancers for charity, Malaysia WBDD is now one of the greatest belly dance events in South East Asia and has helped to raise fund for single mothers and children underprivileged.
Her Vision: "To bring up the standard and quality of Penang's fitness and dance by providing good and healthy environment for exercising and dancing. To mentor and train good instructors with healthy body and mind, as the key to the development of a positive mind is a healthy body and a positive thinking benefits health."
