The ugly belly dancers
Posted July 10th, 2008 by limconnyThis refers to some [quite a lot also] of the participants in the festival.
When l teach belly dance class, l keep telling my students this is a dance of peace and sharing, a dance that is down to earth, only with practising the spirit of belly dancing, you are able to interpret the dance nicely.
But when l saw the ugly faces of those belly dancers in the festival, l felt sorry to my students, the feeling is like l have told a lie......what l have seen and what l thought are totally different!
You know my style la, l always smile to people, to say 'hi' is very normal to me, but this simple action is so difficult to those dancers. From my first day there, l tried to greet all ladies who look like participants of the festival in the hotel, and you know, l was ignored most of the time! Those dancers with pretty look was ugly in their attitude, l don't understand how can they show their face when people greet them? Kurang ajar kah?
You know who are they? Most of them with this funny attitude are from those countries which belly dancing has been well developed, like the 'R', 'K', 'U'.......l know, they are strong in the dance so they feel very proud of themselves, so they thought they are the best among all! Come on la, vomit nie!
The worst part is, they always wanted to stand at the front row in class, so you can see how they pushed other people, how they showed off their moves, how they showed to me the ugliness of women and made me lost my appetite!
I have to blame the organizers of the festival actually, to me, they have created this atmosphere which allowed those ugly dancers to act rude to others, especially those who attended the festival regularly and have good relationship with the organizers, they acted like they are queen there!
Ok after reading this page, feel disappointed of belly dancing? Do come back to visit my next page, l will share something contrast to pick up our confidence........
